Using the One-Click Installer for Your First Website

Print

Most modern hosting providers, including those using the popular cPanel control panel, offer a One-Click Installer (often powered by tools like Softaculous) to easily set up applications like WordPress, Joomla, or other Content Management Systems (CMS).

  1. Access Your Control Panel (cPanel): From your Koelhost Client Area, find the option to log in to cPanel (often a direct, single click).

  2. Find the One-Click Installer: Look for the "Software," "Scripts," or "One-Click Installer" section and select your desired application (e.g., WordPress).

  3. Configure Installation:

    • Choose Domain: Select the domain you just connected.

    • Directory: Leave this blank to install the site at your main domain (e.g., example.com), or enter a directory name (e.g., blog) to install it there.

    • Admin Credentials: Set a secure Admin Username and Password for your website's dashboard (this is separate from your Koelhost login).

  4. Click Install: The installer handles all the background work, including creating a database and uploading files.

  5. Access Your Site: Once complete, you will receive links to your new website and its administrative login page (e.g., example.com/wp-admin for WordPress).
