How to Upload Files to Your Website Using cPanel File Manager

Print

The File Manager is a web-based utility for managing your site's files without needing an external client like FileZilla.

  1. Access File Manager: In cPanel, click the File Manager icon in the Files section.

  2. Navigate to Root Directory: The primary folder for your main domain is usually public_html. Double-click it to enter.

  3. Upload Files:

    • Click the Upload button at the top of the interface.

    • Click Select File or drag-and-drop your files/folders from your computer.

    • Tip: If you have many files, it is best to ZIP them first, upload the single .zip file, and then use the Extract option in the File Manager once it is uploaded.
