Connecting Your Domain to Your Hosting Account (Initial Setup)

Print

If you registered your domain with a different company than your host (Koelhost), you must update its settings to point to your new hosting server.

Get Host's Nameserver Information: Log in to your Koelhost Client Area and find the details for your hosting package. Look for the Name Server addresses (they look like ns1.koelhost.com and ns2.koelhost.com).

Log in to Your Domain Registrar: Access the account where you registered your domain name.

Locate DNS/Nameserver Settings: Go to the domain management or DNS (Domain Name System) settings for the specific domain you want to connect.

Update Nameservers: Change the default nameservers to the ones provided by Koelhost.

Save Changes: Save the new settings. Propagation—the time it takes for this change to update across the internet—can take anywhere from a few minutes to up to 48 hours.
