One-Click Installation Guide for WordPress

Print

Koelhost uses a powerful application installer, typically Softaculous or a similar tool, which is integrated into your cPanel for easy, one-click installation of WordPress.

  1. Log in to cPanel: Access your hosting account's cPanel dashboard from your Koelhost Client Area.

  2. Locate the Installer: Scroll down to the Software section and click on the Softaculous Apps Installer or the dedicated WordPress icon.

  3. Start Installation: Click the Install Now button on the WordPress overview page.

  4. Configure the Settings:

    • Choose Protocol: Select https:// (if you have already installed an SSL certificate or plan to immediately after).

    • Choose Domain: Select your domain from the dropdown.

    • In Directory: Leave this field blank to install WordPress directly at yourdomain.com. If you enter a name (e.g., blog), your site will be at yourdomain.com/blog.

    • Site Settings: Enter your Site Name and Site Description (you can change these later).

    • Admin Account: Crucially, set a strong, unique Admin Username (avoid 'admin'), a complex Password, and your Admin Email.

    • Select Theme (Optional): You can pick a theme now or install the default and change it later.

  5. Click Install: Softaculous will configure the database and install all necessary files.

  6. Completion: You will receive a success message with the link to your live site and the Admin URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/).
