Setting Up a Custom Email Address ($user@$domain.com)

  • Go to Email Accounts: In cPanel, click the Email Accounts icon in the Email section.

  • Create New Account: Click the +Create button.

  • Set Details:

    • Domain: Select the domain name.

    • Username: Enter the part before the @ (e.g., info, support).

    • Password: Set a secure password.

    • Storage Quota: Set the maximum space for this mailbox or choose Unlimited.

  • Access Email: Once created, you can click Check Email next to the account to log in to the Webmail interface (e.g., Roundcube or Horde).

 

Managing Email Forwarders and Autoresponders

Both features are found in the Email section of cPanel.

Feature Purpose Setup Steps
Forwarders Automatically redirect incoming emails from one address (e.g., sales@domain.com) to another (e.g., your personal Gmail). 1. Click Forwarders. 2. Click Add Forwarder. 3. Enter the address to forward from (sales). 4. Enter the address to forward to (your-gmail@gmail.com).
Autoresponders Send an automatic reply to anyone who emails you (e.g., an "Out of Office" or "Thank you for your inquiry" message). 1. Click Autoresponders. 2. Click Add Autoresponder. 3. Set the Interval (how many hours before sending a reply to the same person again). 4. Enter the Email the response is for, Subject, and the Body of the message.
